Abstract:
In accordance with the specifications for gold content and hazardous element limits in gold jewelry, a standard sample for gold jewelry was developed. The chemical composition of the sample was designed, followed by melting, homogeneity and stability testing, and value determination analysis. A total of 16 sample numbers were established, covering 11 elements including Pb, Cd, etc. The standard values from the value determination analysis range from Au 99.99 % to 37.47 %, Ag 99.99 % to 0.20 %, and Cu 99.99 % to 0.22 %. Other added impurities like Zn, Ni, In, Pd, As, Cr, Pb, and Cd range from 7.93 % to 0.011 %, with Cd's value being a reference. The standard sample exhibits a rational chemical composition, homogeneity, and good stability, and has been approved as a national standard sample (GSB04-3651-2019), suitable for the analysis and testing of gold jewelry.
